My name is Harley…at least that’s what my family calls me. When I was younger, I didn’t think that was a very appropriate name for a girl dog, but it’s kind of grown on me. Especially since now I know it comes from the name of my favorite kind of motorcycles: Harley-Davidson!
You see my humans, Ross and Karen, are the owners of a business they call JYDistributing. Something in that name is supposed to stand for “junk yard dog,” but let me set you straight about things from the start:
I am not now, never have been and NEVER will be a junk yard dog!
Now that we’re clear on that, where was I…oh yeah, the business….
JYDistributing sells a wonderful line of products to help keep motorcycles, cars, trucks, RVs, boats, campers and all that there such kind of thing looking great. Ross says the stuff is called Liqui-Tech® — let me tell you, it gets the job done right!
Dad, as Ross sometimes likes to call himself, uses it all the time to clean and polish motorcycles for folks. I’m not too sure about this Dad business, because…well, I mean…do YOU honestly see any family resemblance?? Kinda looks like he sat on a cactus, doesn’t he? But I will tell you, Dad knows his stuff when it comes to making things shine! I’m pretty sure that’s why he and I sport these fancy looking shades…otherwise, all that gleaming chrome would likely blind us!
I spend a lot of time watching Ross do his thing with the cleaning and polishing bit–Karen says it’s my job to be sure he doesn’t get into trouble while she’s at work. Over the years, I’ve picked up a few little tricks, helpful tips and whatnot and this blog was an idea I had to share those with the folks that visit the JYDistributing.com web site. Besides, it gives the old man a chance to show off his handy-work!
I suppose, from time to time, I’ll have to let Ross and Karen make a post. You’ll be able to tell the ones Ross does right away…he doesn’t do the computer thing very well at all. Karen on the other hand, uses a computer all day at work, so she’s pretty good at it. Me…well, despite the lack of opposable thumbs, I do okay most of the time.
I’m looking forward to a chance to come out from behind the scenes. After all, anyone can easily see, I’m the one with all the brains and charm in this family. I’ll also enjoy the opportunity to get to know you all a little better…and for you to get to know all there is to know about me!
